FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Are my photos uploaded or analysed in the cloud?
No. The entire analysis happens on the device. There is no photo upload and no user account; only pseudonymous usage and purchase events are sent (PostHog, RevenueCat). Even with no internet connection the app still finds duplicates, screenshots and blurry shots.
Does the app delete anything without asking?
Never. The app suggests, you decide. Before anything is removed you see a summary of every selected image, and from Android 11 you also confirm in the system dialog. Only after that is anything deleted.
How much storage will I get back?
That depends on your library. Before you delete, the app shows how many megabytes or gigabytes the current selection takes up, so you get a real number instead of a promise.
What is Smart Clean?
A Premium one-tap preselection: duplicate copies and surplus burst frames are proposed for you. Documents, receipts and whiteboards are deliberately excluded, because those are the ones you rarely mean to throw away. You still review the selection before deleting.
What does Best Shot do?
Across a run of similar shots the app proposes the sharpest, best-exposed image as the keeper and explains why. You can switch the keeper yourself at any time.
Do I need a subscription?
No. Screenshots, duplicates and burst series are free to clean up. Premium unlocks blurry and too-dark photos, large videos, Live Photos, the extra categories and Smart Clean – either as a subscription or as a one-time purchase with no recurring charge.
