One number in, one answer out. Cutline is a piping calculator built for pipefitters, plumbers, and the mechanical trades.
- Full 4095 Calculator mode with every key wired to its manual behaviour. Trig, powers, DMS, hydraulics, take-off lookup, pipe-spec cycling, memory registers. The workflow you already know.
- Seven Quick Calc screens for the seven calculations you do at a tape-measure cadence. Tap a calc, type the offset, pick an angle, read the cut length. Five to fifteen seconds, phone back in the pouch.
- Set your pipe spec once (size, material, schedule, fitting type, weld gap) from the bar at the top of every screen. It persists across calcs and across days. A fitter running 2″ SCH 40 steel butt weld long radius all week sets it Monday morning and never touches it again.
- Pipe data reference for every supported size and schedule. OD, wall thickness, weight per foot, ID, internal area, and take-outs. NPS ⅛″ to 42″ across carbon steel, stainless, copper, PVC, CPVC, and more.
Your first 25 calculations are free, no account needed. After that, try any subscription for 7 days, or pay once and own it for life.
WHAT EACH QUICK CALC DOES
Simple pipe offset: enter offset distance and any angle (11.25°, 22.5°, 45°, 60°, or custom). Travel, run, and cut length returned with take-out and weld gap already deducted.
Rolling offset: enter any two of rise, roll, and run. True offset, travel, roll angle, and cut length in one screen.
Take-out lookup: instant take-outs for any fitting at any standard angle.
Spool cut length: different fittings at each end, no problem. Enter end-to-end, pick the fittings, read the cut.
Slope and grade: enter as percent grade, inches per foot, or degrees. Get the other two plus drop over run. Drain slope, sewer pipe slope, process piping, useful for plumbers and pipefitters alike.
Parallel cutback: 2, 3, or 4 parallel lines through an offset. Cutback distance for each line.
Pipe velocity and pressure loss: enter pipe size, material, length, and GPM. Velocity in ft/s plus Hazen-Williams pressure loss in psi per 100 ft and total psi.
PIPE DATA REFERENCE
Browse OD, wall thickness, weight per foot, ID, internal area, and take-outs for every supported size and schedule. NPS ⅛″ to 42″ in carbon steel, stainless 304/316, brass, copper K/L/M, aluminum, cast iron, PVC, CPVC, ABS, PEX, and HDPE. Schedules 5, 10, 40, 80, 160, XXS. Take-outs for butt weld, threaded, socket weld, Victaulic, copper solder, and PVC solvent fittings. Data from ASME B36.10M, B36.19M, B16.9, B16.11, B16.3, ASTM B88, D1785, and published manufacturer tables.
FRACTION-NATIVE KEYPAD
Type feet, inches, and sixteenths directly. No decimal conversion, no system keyboard. Tap targets are 48 dp or larger for gloved hands. Every answer auto-records to a tape history (up to 100 entries, newest first) so you can glance back without recalculating.
BUILT FOR SITE CONDITIONS
Three display modes: standard for indoor work, dark for night shifts and dim mechanical rooms, high contrast for direct sunlight on a scratched screen. Three unit systems: feet-inch-fractions, decimal inches, or millimetres. Adjustable text size.
