What it is and who plays it

Вордли is a Russian-language version of Wordle, the word game where you work out a hidden word one guess at a time. Every puzzle is a five-letter Russian noun. It suits people who already know the Wordle format and want it in Russian, and people who want a short word puzzle in their own language.

Working out the hidden word

You have six tries to find a five-letter word. After each guess, the game marks every letter in two ways: whether it appears in the hidden word, and whether it sits in the right position. You use those marks to narrow down the next guess.

Daily word and sharing results

Each day brings a new word, so everyone gets the same puzzle to solve. When you finish, you can share your result with friends and compare how many tries each of you needed.

Unlimited practice and the Russian word list

The training mode has no limit on rounds, so you can keep playing after the daily word is solved. The word list holds more than 7,500 five-letter Russian nouns.

According to the listing, if you enter a real word that is not stored in the dictionary, the game checks the attempt and updates the dictionary with it.
