What this Japanese keyboard is for
If you type Japanese on Android and want something beyond tapping keys, this keyboard is the one to look at. It is a Japanese input method, and the listing says it is based on Mozc. Its distinguishing feature is gesture input, which the developer presents as an addition to normal key entry rather than a replacement for it.
The keyboard works in the usual way when you tap keys. Gestures sit on top of that, so the same keyboard handles both ordinary typing and the shortcuts you set up with strokes.
Assigning copy, paste and fixed phrases to gestures
Gestures can be registered and given a function. The listing names copy and paste, and the entry of fixed phrases, which are standard pieces of text you use repeatedly. A stroke you have assigned to a phrase therefore saves you typing that phrase out each time.
The listing does not describe how many gestures you can register, so the scope is limited to the functions it names.
Opening the gesture manager and moving settings in and out
To manage gestures, you draw a G in one continuous stroke on the keyboard. This opens the gesture management screen. From there you set up and edit what each gesture does.
The keyboard also supports importing and exporting gestures and dictionaries. That means a set of gestures or a dictionary can be taken out of the keyboard and brought back in, so the work you put into them is not tied to one place.
Placing cursor movement and other functions in the top area
The area above the keys can hold several functions, each shown as an icon. The developer's example is cursor movement. You press the cursor movement icon, then slide your finger left or right across the keyboard to move the cursor through the text.
The listing presents this as a placement choice. You decide which functions appear in that top strip.
What happens to the text you type
The listing states that text entered on the keyboard is not collected. The only personal information the developer describes obtaining is an email address, which comes from people who contact the developer. How that address is handled is set out in a privacy policy linked from the listing.
An FAQ page is also linked from the listing for questions about the keyboard.
