刀剣乱舞ぱずぎり is a puzzle RPG tied to the Touken Ranbu franchise, where famous swords have become warriors called 刀剣男士. The listing presents it as a short, light puzzle game and as a way into the wider Touken Ranbu Online sword-training simulation, which it links to.
The listing names puzzle fans, players who want to unwind with quick matches, people who play in short gaps in their day, and fans of the series who want to see the swordsmen in new forms.
Battles are played on a board of oni. You trace a path across oni of the same colour to join them, and the connected swordsmen strike the enemy. Joining more oni in one trace makes the attack stronger.
The mechanic is simple to pick up because each move is a single continuous line. The listing describes it as quick and satisfying, and presents it as a way to pass a few minutes.
There are eight sword types: 短刀, 脇差, 打刀, 太刀, 大太刀, 薙刀, 槍 and 剣. You collect swordsmen across these types and form your own squad to take into battle.
Each swordsman has a unique special move, called 奥義 in the listing. Some swordsmen take a new form through the story, which the listing presents as one of the game's main draws.
Your time in the game is recorded as an activity log. It keeps battle results and moments of growth and interaction between you and your swordsmen, so the record builds up as you play more.
The game is framed as a story you add to through play, and the listing names a voice cast for the swordsmen. It is presented as part of the Touken Ranbu series, with the listing pointing players to the main Touken Ranbu Online game.
The build we hold is 刀剣乱舞ぱずぎり 1.10.2 (APKS split bundle) for Android 12L and up.
