What kind of strategy game this is
This is a roguelike strategy game built around kingdom building and card decks. Each run is a fresh attempt at growing a kingdom and surviving a long stretch of war and unpredictable events, so no two runs play out the same way.
The listing points at players who enjoy experimenting with builds. Progress comes from trying different combinations of king, cards and buildings until one holds up, which suits people who like deck-building and resource management games.
Choosing one of nine kings
Each of the nine kings plays differently. One stockpiles gold to hire mercenaries, another draws on the forces of nature, and another can warp the laws of time. The remaining options are dark magic and raising hordes of imps that fight on your side.
The choice of king sets the opening strategy for a run, so trying several kings changes how the same map and enemies feel.
Building the citadel and deck during a run
You expand your territory by placing cards on the citadel. Those placements let you upgrade buildings and towers and recruit new troops. Stacking effects and spells on troops is the main way to boost them.
Looting rival kings lets you take their unique cards and add them to your own deck. Combining cards from different kings is how the listing describes building new synergies, so the deck you finish a run with is usually not the one you started with.
Quest Mode, multiplayer and the full game
The game can be tried for free. The listing says buying the full game unlocks all nine kings, new quests and multiplayer. Quest Mode is built around unique challenges that give you a set goal to work toward.
Multiplayer is asynchronous, so you battle eight rivals without playing at the same moment. You climb ranks against them and can customize the look of your king.
Touch controls, achievements and saves across devices
The interface was redesigned for mobile and is controlled entirely by touch. Achievements are tracked through Google Play Games.
Progress carries between mobile and PC when you sign in with the same Google Play Games account. Cloud Save shares your progress between Android devices.
