AirTag Tracker: Scan & Detect is a Bluetooth scanner for tracking tags. It names AirTag, SmartTag, Tile and Chipolo devices, and it also looks for unknown Bluetooth trackers that do not belong to those brands. The listing aims it at people who suspect a tag is in a bag, a car, a pocket or a room.
Use it when you want to check a space or a belonging for a device you did not put there. The features below cover scanning, locating, alerts and history.
The scan covers nearby Bluetooth devices and looks specifically for AirTags and other hidden trackers. The listing names SmartTag, Tile and Chipolo alongside AirTag, so those brands are covered by the same scan.
Unknown Bluetooth devices are included too, so a tracker from a brand the app does not name can still show up. The scan is the starting point for the other tools.
Signal strength is the tool for finding a tag once you know one is near. The listing says you can use it to locate an AirTag, SmartTag, Tile, Chipolo or other suspicious Bluetooth device hidden in a bag, car, pocket or room.
The readings are meant to narrow down which spot a device is in, rather than just confirm that it is somewhere close.
