A romance adventure built on lost memory
Amnesia: Memories is a romance adventure game published by Idea Factory Co.,Ltd. Its summary names Otomate as the brand behind it, and the listing rates it PEGI 12.
The whole game rests on one premise: you are trying to recover a past you cannot remember. Everything is built around that search rather than around action.
Waking on 1 August with no past
The story opens on 1 August, and you have no memories of anything before that day. The blank covers the kind of life you led and the people you were close to.
A spirit named Orion appears and reveals that he is attached to your mind. He guides you through the process of getting your memories back.
Shin, the childhood friend at the centre of the story
Shin is your childhood friend and current boyfriend. He is 18 and a senior in high school, preparing for university entrance exams, and he is also a childhood friend of Toma.
The listing describes him as serious and cold on the surface, often seeming aloof or indifferent, while being affectionate and caring underneath. Tetsuya Kakihara voices him.
Who the game is written for
The game suits players who want a romance story told through a mystery about what they have forgotten. Its summary describes Otomate as a game brand for women.
The PEGI 12 rating sets the audience age the listing expects.
