Apk Extractor - Apk Manager

What the Apk Extractor tool is for

Apk Extractor - Apk Manager is a Tools app for copying the APK file behind an Android app. An APK is the installer package that holds the app's code, so an extracted copy is a standalone file you can keep or send elsewhere.

The listing names two sources: apps you have installed, and the system apps that came with the device. It also saves each app's icon. The stated uses are clearing out apps you no longer need, keeping backups, and sharing favorite apps.

Pulling APK files from installed and system apps

Installed apps are the ones you added yourself. System apps are the ones that came preinstalled, and the app can extract those as well. For each app it handles, the icon is saved alongside the APK.

Backing up and sharing extracted app files

Backup is one of the three uses the listing gives first, and the extracted APK is the file you would keep for it. Sharing covers sending that file to someone else. Both depend on having the APK in the first place, which is what the extraction step produces.

Managing and clearing out apps

The listing presents managing apps and decluttering as core uses, so it is pitched at people with long app lists. Extracting, backing up and sharing are the listed tools for that work.
