App Organizer is an app manager for Android that lets you group, sort and open your installed apps from custom folders instead of home screen pages or the app drawer. The developer describes two main audiences: people who want a cleaner home screen, and people who switch between a lot of apps and need the ones they use most within reach.
The developer names social, work, games and tools as example folder categories. The folders are the core of the app, and the edge sidebar is the second way to reach them.
You put apps into folders that you name and arrange yourself. The listing gives category examples such as social, work, games and tools, but also allows grouping by how often you open an app, or by any other scheme you prefer.
The listing states no limit on how you structure the folders, so the layout can follow your own habits rather than a fixed set of categories.
The edge sidebar sits along the side of the screen. A swipe in from that edge brings up your folders, so you can reach an app without going back to the home screen. The listing says you can do this without leaving whatever app or screen you are already using.
The developer presents this mainly for multitasking, for moving between apps quickly while another one is open.
The app's main job is to bring every app you use into one organised view. You group and sort apps, then open them with a few taps, rather than scrolling through pages or digging through the app drawer.
Together, the folders and the edge sidebar cover both tasks the listing describes: tidying the home screen and reaching frequently used apps on the fly.
