What Autodesk Forma is for on a jobsite

Autodesk Forma is a mobile construction app that puts project information on a phone or tablet at the jobsite. It is aimed at field crews, site supervisors and project managers who need to record what they find on site and check current drawings before work starts.

The listing describes two tiers. Forma Build Essentials covers field execution for smaller crews and growing jobs. Forma Build adds project management for the office, so the two sides work from the same project.

Logging punch list items and site issues

Each punch list item can carry photos, a location and a reference, and it can be assigned an owner and a due date. Items move from open to closed, so a supervisor can see what is still outstanding.

Daily reports, inspections and forms

Forms sit alongside sheets, issues and models in the same project, so a report can be filed while the related drawing is still open.

Viewing and marking up drawings and 3D models

Current sheets, drawings, files and 3D models can be opened from the project. Drawings can be marked up directly on the sheet, and 3D models can be reviewed on site to check design intent and context.

Office workflows in Forma Build and connected files

Forma Build adds project schedules and work plans, RFIs with tracked responses, approved submittals, meeting notes, correspondence, project assets, and document and package reviews.
