This page needs its stylesheet to be shown
The app listing, the version table and the download step are laid out by this site’s stylesheet. With stylesheets switched off, or blocked before they arrive, none of that layout exists, so the page is not shown.

Android device automation made easy.

Automate is an Android automation app for building your own routines. You lay out a routine as a flowchart by adding blocks and connecting them in order. Beginners can fill in predefined options for each block, while experienced users can work with expressions, variables and functions.
A routine can start on a schedule, on a time of day, when you reach a geofenced location, when a calendar event occurs, or when a particular app is open. The listing also names triggers based on a connected Wi-Fi network, remaining battery, physical activity, heart rate and steps taken. Routines can also be started by hand from home screen widgets and shortcuts, Quick Settings tiles, notifications, floating on-screen buttons, Bluetooth headset media buttons, volume and hardware buttons, or by scanning an NFC tag.
The build we hold is Automate 1.53.2 (APK) for Android 5.0 and up.

The in-app community section holds complete flows that other users have made and shared, which can be downloaded as a starting point. The full documentation is also available inside the app.
Automate can delete, copy, move and rename files on the device, on an SD card and on an external USB drive. It can extract and compress zip archives and process text, CSV, XML and other document files. Daily backups can copy apps and files to a removable SD card or to remote storage.
For transfers, the listing names Google Drive, Microsoft OneDrive, FTP servers and any online resource reachable over HTTP, in both directions.
A routine can send SMS, MMS, email, Gmail and other data through a built-in cloud messaging service. It can also manage incoming calls and perform call screening. A built-in web server can accept incoming HTTP requests.
On the camera and sound side, blocks cover photos, screenshots, video and audio recording, speech recognition, playback and text-to-speech. Images can be processed in bulk by cropping, scaling and rotating, then saved as JPEG or PNG. The listing also lists OCR for reading text in images and generating and scanning QR codes and barcodes.
Blocks can change most system settings, including audio volume, screen brightness, Do Not Disturb, mobile network mode (3G, 4G or 5G), Wi-Fi, hotspot and tethering, airplane mode and power save mode. Custom home screen widgets, wallpapers and screensavers can be built with chosen layouts.
Apps that support the Locale or Tasker plug-in API can be integrated directly. For other apps, the listing says routines can start app activities and services, send and receive broadcasts, access content providers, run shell commands, scrape screens and simulate user input.
