What the battery alarm is for

Battery full alarm - low alert watches the charge level and sounds an alarm at two points: when the battery is full, and when it drops low. The developer notes that newer phones already stop charging once they reach full, so the app's job is to tell you when that point is reached. It suits people who often top up for a short time, such as adding 10% before leaving the house, and people who want a reminder before the battery runs out.

The two alarms are set separately, so one does not depend on the other. Each can be triggered at a level you enter yourself rather than only at the standard 100% or a fixed low threshold.

Setting custom full and low charge levels

The full-charge alarm can be set to a percentage below 100, so it goes off once the battery reaches the level you want. This is the feature for a short charge when you do not need a full one. The low-battery alert works the same way, and the developer describes it as a prompt to plug the phone in before it runs down completely.

Both levels are entered by you, so the alarms follow your own habits rather than fixed points. The listing does not describe any preset levels beyond the two alarms.

Alarm sound, volume and notifications

For each alarm you can choose the tone and set its volume. Alerts also come through as notifications, so the reminder appears on screen as well as sounding.

The developer lists a few other small options grouped with these, though the listing does not describe them in detail.

Beep on charger connect and disconnect

The app can play a beep when the charger is plugged in and again when it is removed. This gives a sound cue at the moment charging starts or stops, separate from the full and low alarms.

Together these options cover three situations: a sound when you plug in or unplug, a warning when the battery is low, and an alarm when it reaches the level you set.
