What the Battle.net app covers
Battle.net is Blizzard Entertainment's companion app for its account system and social features. It brings friends, group conversations, game news, account settings and support requests into one place on a phone. The interface is offered in 13 languages, including English, French, German, Spanish, Portuguese, Japanese, Korean and Thai.
Most of the app is built around people who already play Blizzard games and want to keep up with each other between sessions. The listing presents it as a way to stay in touch with friends and find a game to play together.
Messaging friends and joining their games
The friends list shows what each friend is currently playing, and you can add new friends from it. Groups let you coordinate play times and talk through strategy with a set of people. According to the listing, you can also jump into a friend's game directly from the app, so you do not have to set it up manually first.
These features depend on a Battle.net account. Friends, groups and game invitations all sit on top of that account.
Patch notes, forums and finding new games
The app carries patch notes for Blizzard titles, so you can read what changed in a game without leaving the app. Community forums and gaming communities are linked from the same place.
The Shop tab sells products and the Games tab lists titles to try. Between them they are the listing's route to new games inside Battle.net.
Approving logins with the Battle.net Authenticator
Account settings let you manage your Battle.net account from the app. You can also attach the Battle.net Authenticator to protect it.
Once attached, each login attempt on your account sends a notification or prompt to your device. You tap once to approve it or decline it, which is how the listing describes the protection.
Contacting Blizzard Support from the app
Blizzard Support is available inside the app. You can browse support articles, open a new ticket, and reply to a ticket that is already in progress, without switching to a browser.
This is the part of the app for getting back into an account or sorting out a problem with a game. It is separate from the social and game-browsing features.
