What Bayer FarmRise is for
Bayer FarmRise is an Android app from the developer Farmrise for farmers who want crop guidance, market rates and weather in one place. Its core is crop advisory, which the developer says is organized around each crop's cycle. The developer describes it as the fastest growing agriculture app in India, though that is the developer's own claim.
Crop practices by stage of the crop cycle
The main content is the package of practices, which the developer says is based on the crop cycle, so the advice follows the crop as it grows. A farmer can look up the practices for the crop they are growing rather than searching through general material. The developer says it is the only app that offers all crop practices in audio form, so they can be listened to in the farmer's preferred language.
Mandi prices and weather information
Mandi prices sit alongside the crop advice, so a farmer can check market rates in the same app they use for growing decisions. Weather information is also included. The listing's summary mentions further features beyond these, though it does not name them.
Using the app in ten Indian languages
The developer lists the app as available in ten languages: English, Hindi, Kannada, Marathi, Telugu, Gujarati, Odia, Punjabi, Bengali and Tamil. Language is what sets the audio practices apart, since each can be heard in the language the farmer chooses. Anyone looking for crop advice in one of these languages will find it on that list.
