What kind of kart racing game this is
Beach Buggy Racing 2 is a 3D off-road kart racer built on the Vector Engine, with NVIDIA PhysX handling the physics. The races take place on themed courses including Egyptian pyramids, dragon-infested castles, pirate ship wrecks and experimental alien bio-labs.
It is a sequel to the original Beach Buggy Racing, and it is aimed at players who want arcade kart racing with a lot of weapons and a cast of characters. The game is free to play, but some in-game items can be bought with real money.
Upgrading Powerups and building a deck
The game lists more than 45 Powerups, and each one can be upgraded. You assemble your own custom Powerup deck from them before racing.
The listing names abilities such as Chain Lightning, Donut Tires, Boost Juice and Killer Bees as examples of what a deck can hold. Upgrades are part of the strategy, since the deck you build determines which weapons you bring into a race.
Building a garage and recruiting drivers
Your garage holds more than 55 cars, spanning beach buggies, monster trucks, muscle cars, classic pickups and formula supercars. The classic Beach Buggy cars from the first game return alongside newer models.
You recruit drivers by building your reputation. Four new drivers have been added: Mikka, Beat Bot, Commander Nova and Clutch. Each driver has a unique special ability, and they join returning racers such as Rez, McSkelly and Roxie.
Customizing cars with paints and decals
Cars can be finished in metallic, rainbow and matte paints. Decal sets include tiger stripes, polka dots and skulls.
Customization is how you make each car your own, and the paints and decals are collected in the same way as the cars themselves.
Online races, tournaments and challenge modes
This entry adds online competition against other players for the first time. Daily races pit you against player avatars, and live tournaments and special events offer exclusive in-game prizes. Weekly tournaments run on a schedule.
Beyond the standard races, the game offers races with six drivers on the track, one-on-one driver races, daily drift challenges, daily obstacle course challenges and car challenges.
