BeautyCam-AI Photo Editor

What the BeautyCam-AI Photo Editor is for

BeautyCam is a camera and photo editing app from Meitu (China) Limited, built around portrait photos and face retouching. It works both as a camera that shoots with built-in looks and as a way to edit pictures you already have.

It suits people who take a lot of selfies or group portraits and want the photos to look finished without opening a full editor. The listing does not describe any editing beyond the portrait and camera tools it names.

Shooting with retro and DSLR-style camera modes

The camera has several models meant to copy the look of different equipment: DSLR cameras, the iPhone camera and film cameras. Each one gives the shot a different colour and grain character.

The DSLR mode also exposes controls for zoom, depth of field and white balance. Depth of field controls how blurred the background is, and white balance sets the colour temperature of the picture.

The Digicam mode uses classic, vintage-inspired filters that copy the look of early digital cameras.

Retouching faces with AI detection and portrait styles

AI detection finds faces in a photo and adjusts the features it finds. The listing describes this as enhancing natural features rather than changing them into something else.

Portrait styles apply a preset look to a portrait in one step. The listing says these are meant to give a studio-style result.

In the iPhone Cam mode, the skin is brightened for a clear, glowing finish.

Frames and playful effects in Photo Booth mode

Photo Booth mode adds frames and decorative effects to pictures, for group shots or single portraits. The listing presents it as a way to make photos from an event or outing more memorable.

The frames and effects sit on top of the same camera and retouching tools, so a picture can be shot with a retro look and then framed in the same session.
