BISSELL Connect

What BISSELL Connect is for

BISSELL Connect is a companion app for BISSELL products that connect to a phone, with robotic vacuums as the main example in the listing. It suits people who want to run floor cleaning around a busy day, such as setting a clean before leaving the house or dealing with a pet mess without pulling out a machine by hand.

The app covers four areas: running and scheduling a robotic vacuum, reading its maps and history, keeping supplies stocked, and keeping the machine's software current.

Scheduling and controlling a robotic vacuum

Schedules are set in the app and run the vacuum without you present. From the phone you can also start a clean, stop it, send it back to the dock, and switch between its cleaning modes. Settings on the machine can be adjusted from the same screen.

The listing lists these controls for robotic vacuums specifically. Other connected BISSELL products are mentioned only in general terms.

Maps, cleaning history and machine upkeep

For the SpinWave R5, the app shows the map the vacuum builds of the space, and lets you customize it. The listing does not describe the editing tools in detail.

Cleaning history is kept in the app, and the listing says you can analyze it. Software and firmware updates for the machine are delivered through the app so that new features reach the device.

Supplies are handled in the same place. You can see the status of connected products and reorder formula, brush rolls and filters when they run low.

Cleaning tips, videos and guides

The app includes a library of tips, videos and guides for keeping each machine cleaning well. The listing gives pet cleanup as an example, including wet and dry cat messes and a dog spill at breakfast.

The guides are aimed at getting more from the device, so they are most useful alongside the scheduling and maintenance features above.
