Create and drink your delicious boba tea, boba recipe with a variety of toppings
By Mei-Lin Chua
Contributing editor, apps and storefronts
Boba DIY: Drink Boba Tea is a simulation game about making bubble tea and milkshakes on your phone. You start with an empty cup, fill it with a colored milk tea or milkshake base, then add toppings, ice and fruit until the drink looks the way you want.
The developer describes the interface as easy to use, and presents the game as one you can play with friends. It fits people who enjoy building and decorating drinks more than following a set goal.
The build we hold is Boba DIY: Drink Boba Tea 0.0.31 (APKS split bundle) for Android 7.1 and up.

You pick a cup shape first, then fill it with the base. The listing covers more than 20 drinks, and the base ranges from milk tea to fruit juice. Each drink's color changes as you fill it.
Ice cubes and natural fresh fruit can go into the cup as well. Some cup shapes and ice molds are modeled on well-known characters.
The toppings include fruit jelly, candy, pearls, tropical fruit, black pearls and fruit pearls. You can mix several in one cup to test different combinations.
The listing also names fruit as a topping in its own right. Combining jelly, pearls and fruit is how most of the drink recipes are built.
Once the drink is made, you can decorate the cup with a large set of cute stickers. Text can be added to the stickers, so a sticker can carry a word or a short message.
Decorating is a separate step from mixing, so you can finish the drink and then style the cup around it.
Once a drink is finished you can drink it, and the game plays drinking sound effects that the developer describes as lively and realistic. The listing presents the finished drink as something to share with friends, which is the game's social side.
