What the prank app is for

Broken Touch Screen Prank is a joke app for making a phone look damaged. The developer aims it at friends and family, and rates it PEGI 3. The listing puts its focus on simulated visual effects paired with sounds.

The app has no real function beyond the prank itself. Its screen effects and audio are there to be shown to someone else, so the person being fooled sees the fake damage.

Tap and shake triggers for the cracked screen

Touch Crack starts the cracked-screen effect when you tap the screen. Shake Crack starts the same effect when you shake the device. The two modes let you choose how the effect is set off.

The listing describes the cracked-screen effect as realistic. It does not say how the effect is layered over other apps or the home screen.

Glitch screen effects and prank sounds

Glitch Screen adds colorful glitches and screen distortion meant to look like a cracked display. The listing says these effects are for entertainment.

Funny sound effects can be added to the visuals. The listing presents the sounds as a way to make the prank more convincing.
