Calm is the #1 app for sleep, meditation, and relaxation.

Calm - Sleep, Meditate, Relax is a mobile app for falling asleep, meditating and winding down during stressful periods. It is built around short and long sessions, so a session can fit a few minutes before bed or a longer practice on a free afternoon. Its stated audience is people who want help with insomnia, everyday anxiety or a first meditation habit.
Most of the content is audio: spoken guided sessions, bedtime narratives and background sound. Nothing on the listing suggests a video-led or fitness-led experience apart from a stretching section noted below.
Sleep Stories are long spoken narratives meant to be listened to while falling asleep. The listing names Matthew McConaughey, Stephen Fry and Bob Ross as narrators, and says the catalogue includes 100+ exclusive stories with new ones added every month. One of them, Happy Little Zzzs, is a Bob Ross story, and another, Blue Gold, is narrated by Stephen Fry over a journey through Provence.
Some content is only available through an optional paid subscription, charged to your Google Account at confirmation of purchase. The listing says some programs and features remain free permanently and that the app has no ads.
Guided meditation runs from beginner sessions to more advanced practice. Daily sessions are hosted by Tamara Levitt (Daily Calm), Jay Shetty (Daily Jay) and Jeff Warren (Daily Trip). Topics are grouped under deep sleep, anxiety relief, stress relief, focus, breaking habits, self-care and personal growth.
For a structured start, the app offers 7-day and 21-day mindfulness programs meant to build a lasting practice. Dailies covers programs on social anxiety, personal growth and mood balance, so it is possible to pick a single theme and work through it over several days.
The breathing exercises are guided sessions aimed at easing anxiety, stress and insomnia. Some are described as breathwork, and the listing also includes bilateral stimulation music, which it describes as aimed at nervous system regulation and somatic relaxation.
Daily Move adds mindful movement and stretching sessions to the same app. A Wear OS version has tiles that start a breathing exercise from the watch face, and complications that show meditation tracking.
The sound library covers calming music, nature sounds and sleep sounds such as ocean waves, heavy rain and a campfire. Full soundscapes are built to be played for relaxing, meditating or sleeping. The listing also says focus and sleep music from named artists is refreshed weekly.
Daily Streaks and Mindful Minutes record how often you meditate and how your mood changes over time, which the listing presents as a mental health tracker. Together, the sounds, sessions and tracker make the app usable as a nightly routine as well as a set of one-off sessions.
The build we hold is Calm - Sleep, Meditate, Relax 6.102 (APKS split bundle) for Android 10 and up.
