What CCTV Camera Recorder & Home is for

CCTV Camera Recorder & Home is an Android video recorder from Soaring App that turns your phone's cameras into a simple recording tool. The developer positions it for keeping an eye on a room or area, or for recording in the background while the phone is used for other things.

It records from either the front or the back camera, and the flash can be switched on for dim light. Recording starts with a single tap.

Recording in the background and in low light

The listing says recording keeps going while you use other apps on the phone. Because of that, the phone can sit in a fixed spot and record while it is used for something else.

Videos you have recorded can be previewed inside the app, and saved recordings can be managed from the same place.

Using the home screen as a camera control panel

The app adds a shortcut to the home screen so you can begin recording without opening the app first. The listing describes it as a launcher, with a swipe right that brings up the camera feed and a swipe up that opens the list of all installed apps.

This layout is meant to put recording and the camera view a swipe away from the home screen.

Device alerts for installs, removals and charging

The app sends notices when apps are installed or removed on the device. It also sends alerts when the charger is plugged in or unplugged.

These alerts run alongside the recording features, so the phone can report changes to its apps and power while it records.
