The watch face uses an arithmetic formula to calculate the distance:

1 mile = 2100 steps.
Give your smartwatch a cheerful, creative look that stands out from ordinary digital designs. Customize the colors and shortcuts to make it truly yours.
ℹ️ Availability of some functions, complications, weather data, and other displayed information may depend on the watch and phone model, installed apps, permissions, and system settings.
⚙️ Galaxy Wearable may not always correctly support customization of complex watch faces, so we recommend customizing the watch face directly on the watch.
To open the watch face settings, press and hold the watch screen.
⚠️ Touch zones are guaranteed to work only on Samsung watches.
