Checkers - Online & Offline is a board game app for checkers, also called draughts. You capture the opponent's pieces and become a king by reaching the far side of the board. The listing uses several names for the game, including Damas, Dama and Шашки, and describes a wooden board design.
The app has two main ways to play: matches against other people online, and games against the computer that need no internet connection. It also offers a local two-player mode on one device, so it covers both solo practice and games with someone sitting next to you.
Online matchmaking pairs you with real players from around the world. For games with people you already know, private matches with friends use a Google sign-in.
Live emoji and text chat run during games, so you can talk to your opponent while you play.
Offline games against the computer need no internet connection. The computer opponent has six difficulty levels, from Beginner up to Grandmaster, so you can practise at a pace that suits you.
You can save any game and come back to it later. The local two-player mode on one device handles games with a person beside you.
The app includes 14 variants of checkers and draughts rules. You can play under whichever set of rules you prefer, rather than only one version of the game.
Weekly and monthly leagues award in-game rewards. Leaderboards, badges and player stats track your results over time.
After each match, the full move history is available to review, so you can go back through every move you and your opponent made.
Combined with saved games, this lets you return to an earlier match and study how it was played.
