Chill with You : Lo-Fi Story

What the sound novel is and who it suits

Chill with You : Lo-Fi Story is a sound novel built around working at a desk. You sit beside Satone, an imaginative girl who writes novels, and the story moves forward as you keep working.

It is aimed at people who want background audio and a light story while they study or write, rather than a game with objectives. The listing rates it for all ages.

Lo-fi music and ambient sound for focus

The music is a set of original songs under the name Chill Talk, grouped for different work situations. The developer says they are made by sound artists and range from slow, relaxed pieces to more upbeat ones meant to lift motivation.

Nature sounds such as wind and rain are available as ambience. You can turn the music off and use only these sounds, and you can adjust the ambient layers to suit your preferences.

Satone, the scenery and the story

The scenery and the music are tied to Satone's emotions, so the mood of the room changes with how she feels in the story. The longer you work with her, the closer your bond becomes, and the listing hints at a more personal connection later on.

Because the story responds to how long you stay at the desk, the sessions are both a work tool and the way the narrative advances.

Pomodoro timer for work blocks

A Pomodoro timer is included for splitting work into timed blocks with breaks between them. It sits alongside the music and ambience, so the timing and the soundtrack run together during a session.
