Daily HSK graded readers made for your Chinese reading and listening routine.
By Mei-Lin Chua
Contributing editor, apps and storefronts
Chinese Short Dialogue provides Mandarin reading and listening material for learners at different HSK levels. It suits people who want short pieces to study regularly, including learners using HSK preparation materials alongside it.
The content includes news rewritten for learners, short conversations, and essays about Chinese idioms. The listing says new material is provided daily, with the dialogue and news aimed at giving learners something to read and hear at their level.
The build we hold is Chinese Short Dialogue 2.3.0 (APKS split bundle) for Android 7.0 and up.

The news section turns current headlines into learner-level reading passages. It can give a learner practice with news topics without relying on the original, ungraded wording.
Short dialogues are available across the listed HSK levels. Their audio can be replayed or slowed, which supports listening practice, shadowing, and dictation. The app also includes short essays centered on chengyu, or Chinese idioms, for learners looking for reading material beyond news and everyday conversations.
While reading, a learner can tap a word for its definition, show or hide pinyin, and consult a full translation. Traditional Chinese characters and zhuyin are also supported.
Each piece has a comprehension quiz. Words can be saved and reviewed as flashcards, so a reader can return to vocabulary encountered in the passages. Audio speed can be adjusted, and the listing says AI can explain how a sentence is formed or how a word is used in context.
The developer says most content can be read and heard for free. That does not establish that every passage or tool is free, and the listing does not specify the price or terms for anything outside that free portion.
The listing does not say whether an account is required, or provide details about ads or subscriptions. It describes reading and listening materials with study tools, but gives no further access or payment terms.
