Clash of Clans is a multiplayer strategy game in which you run a village, build a clan with other players, and attack or defend in timed battles. The listing centres on troops such as Barbarians and Wizards, plus a roster of Heroes, and on the clan as the social core of the game.
It suits players who like planning over several sessions and who want to play with or against other people. The game needs an internet connection to play. It is free to download and play, but some items can be bought for real money, including random items, and in-app purchases can be turned off in the device settings.
The build we hold is Clash of Clans 18.647.5 (APK) for Android 7.0 and up.

You lay out your village yourself and upgrade each building to make your defences stronger. Towers, Cannons, Bombs, traps, Mortars and walls are the main defensive options listed. Your Clan Castle holds troops that can help defend against attacks.
Resources come from collecting them in your village and from plundering loot from other players. The loot is spent on upgrades, and the Town Hall is the building the listing names as the one to protect.
Clan Wars pit your clan against others, and Clan War Leagues run as a competitive ladder across the wider player base. Ranked Mode is a separate ladder of one-on-one online battles that the listing says can rise all the way to Legend League.
Outside the ladders, Friendly Challenges and Friendly Wars let you play without the ranking stakes, and special live events run within the game for a limited time.
Armies are built from troops, spells and Heroes, and the listing says the combinations are wide. Named Heroes include the Barbarian King, Archer Queen, Grand Warden, Royal Champion, Minion Prince, Dragon Duke and Battle Machine.
The Laboratory is where troops, spells and Siege Machines are upgraded. Practice Mode lets you test army combinations and Clan Castle troops before you use them in a real attack.
The single-player part of the game is a campaign against the Goblin King. It runs alongside the multiplayer side and is the only solo mode the listing names.
Builder Base is a separate village with its own buildings, characters and way of playing. There you build up defences and fight rival players in real time in the Versus Battle mode.
