Colorfy: Coloring Book Games

What Colorfy is and who it suits

Colorfy is a digital coloring book game for Android, sold through Google Play under the Art & Design category. It is built around a set of line-art pages that you fill in with color on the screen. The developer presents it as a way to pass time and unwind, and it is aimed at people of all ages.

The design library covers mandalas, animals, patterns and florals. Some pages are simple and some are complex, so a casual session and a longer, more detailed one are both possible.

Choosing coloring pages by complexity

Mandalas, animals, repeating patterns and floral pages are the subject groups the listing names. Within those groups, the developer says there are both simple and complicated designs, which lets you pick a page to match how much time or focus you have.

Because the pages are digital, there is no paper to protect and no pencil to sharpen. You choose a picture and color it directly.

Coloring on a phone instead of paper

The developer contrasts the game with traditional coloring, which means buying a book, keeping track of pencils and dealing with the wear that paper takes. Colorfy removes those steps and runs entirely on the device.

That makes it usable in short gaps, such as while waiting somewhere, since the pages are always on hand.

Using coloring for stress relief

The developer says the game is meant to help people relax and reduce everyday stress, and it states that coloring lifts mood, eases stress and encourages creativity. These are the developer's claims, not findings verified here.

The listing frames the game as a way to switch off from low moods and feelings of being unproductive, which is the use it names most directly.

How the design library gets updated

The developer says the app is updated from time to time with new simple and complicated designs. Over time that means the set of pages to choose from is expected to grow, though the listing does not say how often that happens.
