Cursive Letters Writing Wizard

What the cursive tracing app is for

Cursive Letters Writing Wizard is a handwriting app for young children learning cursive. The listing aims it at kindergarten, preschool and first grade, and at toddlers who are starting with simple shapes. The developer, L'Escapadou, rates it for everyone.

A child traces over letters, numbers and words on screen. The app shows the correct way to form each one and checks the tracing. The listing says it works with uppercase and lowercase letters, numbers and whole words.

Handwriting fonts and tracing settings

The listing names three popular US cursive fonts, ZB, DN and HWT, along with UK, French and Swiss styles. A parent or teacher can match the font to the one a child is taught at school.

Letter size and difficulty can be changed to suit each child. There is also a shapes tracing activity for toddlers who are not yet ready for letters.

Making custom word lists and name practice

You can build your own word lists, so a child can practise their name or any other word that matters to them. For each word you can record audio, so the child hears the word while tracing it.

This is the part of the app that goes beyond the standard alphabet and number sets.

Stickers, games and letter animations

The app includes 50 animated stickers and sound effects to keep tracing fun. Interactive games animate the letters once a child finishes tracing them.

These rewards sit inside the tracing sessions, so practice and play happen in the same place.

Progress reports and printed worksheets

Reports show which letters and words the child has traced, so a parent or teacher can see what has been covered. The app can also create worksheets that you print for practice on paper.
