A helicopter rescue game for young children

Dinosaur Helicopter Kids Games puts a child in the pilot's seat on rescue missions. The developer rates it 3+ and aims it at toddlers, kindergarten kids and preschoolers. The goal in every mission is to reach dinosaurs who are stuck in places spread across the world.

The developer describes it as a learning game built around play rather than a plain rescue game. Its Adventure category sits alongside its goal of teaching through challenges that the child works through by flying.

Rescue missions across different locations

Each mission sends the pilot to a different spot, and the listing says the locations vary widely around the world. The child steers toward a stranded dinosaur and completes the rescue.

The listing presents these missions as challenges to get through, not as a single fixed course. Each one asks the child to work out how to reach the dinosaur in the air.

Choosing from 12 helicopters

The game includes 12 helicopters for the child to pick from. The listing names three of them: a UFO, a military chopper and a classic helicopter with two propellers. Choosing a craft is the first decision a child makes before each flight.

The developer says every helicopter uses child-friendly controls, which it designed for small hands. The controls are the same kind of input a young child would use to steer each craft.

Problem-solving and coordination through play

The developer states that the challenges help children build problem-solving and coordination skills while they play. The rescue flights are the activity through which this is meant to happen.

Because the game is aimed at preschoolers and toddlers, the developer presents these skills as the main learning outcome rather than reading or counting.
