Drum Pad Machine is a popular DJ beats music mixer.
By Trang Nguyen
Editor, media and streaming
Drum Pad Machine is a beat maker and DJ-style mixer built around a grid of pads, similar to a launchpad. Pressing a pad plays a sound, and you combine those sounds into beats, loops and short tracks. The listing presents it as a way to learn the basics of music creation as well as to mix beats.
It suits people who want to start making hip-hop style beats or simple tracks without a studio setup. Everything is done by tapping the pad grid on the screen.
The build we hold is Drum Pad Machine - beat maker 2.30.0 (APKS split bundle) for Android 8.0 and up.

The screen shows a grid of colored buttons. Each sector of the grid holds its own sound, so moving to a new sector gives you a new set of sounds to work with. Buttons that share a color play similar sounds, which lets you group sounds by type as you build a track.
Because the layout is visual, you can work out which pads belong together by color rather than by reading labels.
The app is built around mixing loops and layering sounds from the pads into a beat. The listing describes it as a beatbox-style maker for hip-hop tracks and a DJ mixer for combining sounds in real time. You use the pads to arrange rhythms and then mix them.
Beat making is the main use. The listing names creating beats, composing tracks and mixing music beats as the things the app is for.
You can record your own melodies and other sounds, and place them on the pads for later use. The listing says a wide range of sound effects can be used to build chords, and that these chords work for both piano and guitar parts.
Mixtapes and finished tracks can be saved and shared with others, as the listing describes sharing music and songs with other people.
