Epic Battles Online is a medieval battle simulator where you command armies of thousands of soldiers. The listing calls it a free strategy game with fast-paced combat. Matches can be played against other players online or offline.

The focus is on large-scale fights rather than single heroes, so the army you field and how you deploy it decide most of the outcome.

Building and positioning your army

You choose which soldiers go into your army, group them into divisions, and set a formation for each division. Soldiers come from seven races: Human, Elf, Undead, Barbarian, Dwarf, Orc and Dragon. Each race can field units from seven types, including Infantry, Heavy Infantry, Archers, Cavalry, Lancers, Mages and Dragons.

Unlocking new units through battle wins

Your roster grows as you win. A new unit unlocks every five battles won, up to 18 in total. The app keeps a tally of total battles won, your current winning streak and your best winning streak.

Online and offline matches and how a battle ends

Multiplayer matches pit you against players from around the world, and the game also supports offline play. Every army has a king. A battle ends when you eliminate the enemy king or half of their troops. Battles are capped at 10 minutes, and if time runs out, the player who has eliminated more enemy soldiers wins.
