What BudgetIt is and who it suits
BudgetIt is an expense tracker for Android that the developer describes as fully offline. Transaction data stays on the device, and the listing says no account is needed to use it.
The developer names individuals, freelancers, people trying to cut back, people saving toward a goal, and people who manage several accounts as the intended users. It is aimed at anyone who wants to see where their pay goes each month.
Importing bank and card statements
Instead of typing in each purchase, you upload a bank, credit card or digital wallet statement. According to the developer, BudgetIt pulls out every transaction, sorts it and assigns categories, then shows spending insights.
If you would rather log things yourself, the manual entry screen has a calculator built in, so you can work out an amount without leaving the app.
Budgets, accounts and subscriptions
You can create separate budgets for individual months or for a whole year, and set spending limits across categories you define yourself. Several accounts can be tracked side by side, including bank accounts, credit cards, cash and digital wallets, with one combined overview.
Recurring transactions can be added so the app works as a subscription tracker. The listing names streaming services, memberships and auto-renewing charges as examples of what it can monitor.
Backups, reminders and display themes
Cloud backup is available, and the developer says backups run automatically in the background. Personalized daily reminders can be set to prompt you to log expenses.
The default theme is navy. A light mode and an AMOLED mode, which uses true black, are also offered; the developer notes the AMOLED option can save battery on OLED screens.
