What Farkle Connect is and who it suits
Farkle Connect joins two games: the dice game Farkle, where every roll risks losing what you have banked, and Connect 5, where the aim is five chips in a line. The developer describes it as a board game for players who want a risky dice turn and a bit of board strategy in the same match. It is built around duels, so the main draw is playing against others.
Each turn is a dice roll followed by a board move. The dice side is where the risk sits, and the board side is where you decide what to do with the points you have earned.
Rolling dice for points on the grid
You roll the dice and add up scores. The points are used to reach targets printed on the grid squares, and a target you meet lets you claim that square. If a roll scores nothing, you Farkle and lose the turn's progress.
Each square has its own point target. Low-target squares are easy to claim but worth less. High-target squares need a bigger total from your rolls, and the listing says they are the ones that take the most valuable positions on the board. Choosing between a safe claim and a risky roll is the core decision in each turn.
Placing chips to connect five
Claimed squares let you drop chips onto the board. The goal is two separate lines of five in a row, which can be horizontal, vertical or diagonal. You also have to watch your rival, because placing chips to block their winning lines is part of the same game.
The two halves feed each other. A strong dice turn gives you a better square to play on, and the board position you build decides which squares matter most.
Duels, leagues and leaderboards against other players
Duels are player-versus-player matches against opponents worldwide. They run turn by turn, so you do not need to be online at the same moment as your opponent to play through a match. The developer lists this as the main mode.
Beyond single duels, the app has leagues split into competitive divisions. Climbing through them earns exclusive rewards, and global leaderboards show where you rank against other players.
Duel Journey, daily missions and dice skins
Duel Journey is a progression path of opponents that grows tougher as you move through it. It includes bosses to defeat along the way and daily missions to complete. The listing says these run alongside the duels rather than replacing them.
Progress also unlocks cosmetic content. The developer says there are dozens of custom dice skins to unlock, so the dice you roll can change as you play.
