What Fill the Pic is and who it suits

Fill the Pic is a logic puzzle game built on number clues. Each puzzle begins as a plain grid with numbers placed across it, and the board hides a colorful picture underneath. The developer describes the game as relaxing.

It suits people who enjoy working out a puzzle by reasoning rather than by reflexes. The rules are short, so the challenge comes from the logic itself.

How the number clues define regions

Each number marks a region that you have to shape. The region containing that number must contain exactly that many cells, so the clue sets both the size and the boundary of the area.

You divide the whole grid into these regions. Every cell has to belong to one of them, so leftover squares are not allowed. Working out which cells belong together is where most of the logic happens.

Working through a puzzle from start to finish

A typical puzzle runs in a clear order. You read the numbers across the grid, draw areas that match each one, and check that every cell sits in the correct section. Once the grid is complete, the hidden picture is revealed.

Each correct region moves the board closer to the final image, so progress is visible as you go. The picture comes to life slowly rather than all at once.

Levels and the pictures they reveal

The game includes a range of levels, each with its own colorful picture to uncover. Some pictures can be guessed from the first few regions, while others are meant to surprise you at the end.

Because each level hides a different image, the puzzles keep their subject fresh even though the rules stay the same.
