Forgotton Anne

A lost-objects adventure game with puzzle platforming

Forgotton Anne is an adventure game from Hitcents, listed on Google Play under Adventure. Its setting is the Forgotten Lands, where lost things end up: old toys, letters, socks. Those objects have come to life as Forgotlings, which the listing calls living mislaid objects that want to be remembered.

Story and light puzzle platforming are the two things the listing puts at the centre of the game.

Playing as Anne and the rebellion

You control Anne, an enforcer whose job is keeping order in the Forgotten Lands. Her task is to put down a rebellion that could keep her master, Bonku, and herself from returning to the human world. The whole adventure is built around that conflict.

Puzzle platforming and cinematic presentation

Gameplay is light puzzle platforming, so you move Anne through the Lands and work through puzzles along the way. The developer says the cutscenes flow directly into play, and that the artwork shifts frame by frame in response to your inputs. The listing describes the art as hand-animated.

Trying the free demo before buying

A demo is available to play for free before you decide on the full experience. The listing presents the full game as a separate purchase from the demo.

Who the game suits

The listing points at players who want a story-led adventure with an unusual setting, where ordinary objects carry the plot. The game is rated PEGI 12.
