FUTO Notes is a note taking app that gets out of your way. No sign-in required to use, and it's all available offline. Private, secure, fast.

📁 Your notes are plain Markdown files in a real folder you own — open them in Files, back them up, and sync them with any app.

Your notes, your files. FUTO Notes stores every note as a standard Markdown (.md) file in a single folder on your device (Documents/FUTO Notes) that you fully own and control. There's no proprietary database and no lock-in: open your vault in the Files app, edit the same notes from your computer, back the folder up however you like, and keep everything even if you uninstall. To make this possible, FUTO Notes asks for "All files access" so it can read and write your chosen notes folder as real files — the same way a desktop notes app works with a folder. Optional end-to-end encrypted sync keeps that folder in sync across your devices, with note contents encrypted on your device before they're ever uploaded.

Prefer a fully sandboxed setup? You can instead choose App storage, which keeps your notes private to the app and requires no special permission.
