The app listing, the version table and the download step are laid out by this site’s stylesheet. With stylesheets switched off, or blocked before they arrive, none of that layout exists, so the page is not shown.

Play ProtectGoogle Messages is the official Google app for messaging.
By Kelvin Ooi

Google Messages is Google's texting app, built on Rich Communication Services (RCS), which the listing describes as the standard that replaces SMS and MMS. It suits people who text a mix of Android and iPhone contacts and want more than plain text messages. RCS chats carry photos, videos, typing indicators and group conversations across both platforms.
The build we hold is Google Messages messages.android_20261020_00_RC00.phone.openbeta_dynamic (APKS split bundle) for Android 10 and up.

Photos and videos can be sent in high resolution, and you can see when the other person is typing. Group chats can include iPhone contacts, not only other Android users. RCS depends on carrier support and may need a data plan, and some features may require signing up for beta testing.
Chat bubble colors can be changed, so each thread can look different from the default. The app also offers selfie GIFs for adding animated expression to a conversation.
Messages and attachments between Google Messages users are end-to-end encrypted, so only the person you are messaging can read them. The listing says this covers Google and third parties too. Advanced spam protection is included on top of this.
Magic Compose offers suggestions while you write a message, and the listing mentions further AI features alongside it. A chat started on a phone can be picked up on a tablet or computer. The listing also says the app is available on Wear OS.

Android Auto review: the phone-to-dashboard bridge, with a stale feature list
Android Auto puts a simplified, voice-driven version of your phone's driving apps on a compatible car screen. It is free and does the core job, but the listing reads dated and leans on your car.

Phone by Google: a good dialer, but the best parts are gated by device and country
Google's dialer handles spam warnings, caller ID and blocking for everyone, but Call Screen, Hold for Me, call recording and transcription depend on your phone and region.

WhatsApp Messenger: still the default for a reason, but it wants your phone number
WhatsApp remains free, end-to-end encrypted messaging and calling with no subscription, but it demands a phone number up front and offers nothing for people who want a handle instead.
