What the app covers and who it suits
Gallery - Photo Gallery, Album is a photo manager that also works as a locked vault for private pictures and videos. The listing presents it as one place to browse, edit, protect and share a phone's photos and clips.
It suits someone who wants a single app for everyday photo viewing and for keeping certain images and videos out of sight. The vault is the feature that sets it apart from a plain gallery.
Browsing photos and organizing them into albums
The app opens your pictures and videos for browsing and lets you create albums to group them. The listing also mentions excluding albums, which is how you control what appears in the gallery view.
It also includes an HD video player, so clips can be watched inside the same app that holds your photo library.
Locking and hiding private pictures and videos
The vault hides selected pictures and videos behind a PIN, a pattern or a fingerprint. According to the listing, hidden files do not show in the main system gallery or in other apps, and they can only be viewed after the password is entered.
The vault is the feature the listing gives the most space to, so it is the part to look at first if private photo storage is the goal.
Editing, collages and recovering deleted files
The built-in photo editor covers picture changes, and the collage maker combines several photos into one image. Both sit next to the gallery, so edited or combined images can be kept with the originals.
The listing also says the app can recover photos and videos that were deleted by accident. It lists sharing among the features as well, so finished images can be sent on once they are edited or recovered.
