What Great Learning is for

Great Learning is an online learning app from the developer Great Learning, aimed at people who want a new technical skill for their career. The listing describes a catalog of more than 1000 courses. Working professionals and new graduates are the two groups it names.

Most of the subjects are technical: data science, machine learning, artificial intelligence and cloud computing lead the list. Marketing and finance are also included.

Short free courses to start with

The listing offers a set of short courses at no cost, presented as a way to begin before taking on a longer program. They sit apart from the postgraduate and degree options.

Anyone curious about a subject can try one of these first, then look at the longer programs in the same field.

Postgraduate and master's programs for professionals

The longer options are full-time postgraduate, master's and degree programs, which the listing says are built for people already in work. It also lists certificate programs in newer technical fields, which it pitches as preparation for a job.

These sit at the top end of the catalog, above the short free courses.

Beginner modules for new graduates

New graduates are offered modules pitched at beginners. The listing says they were written by industry practitioners and academics.

The listing says the content is produced in association with well-known universities.

Subjects covered in the catalog

The named subject areas are data science, machine learning, artificial intelligence, cloud computing, cybersecurity, marketing and finance, and big data. The listing says there are more beyond these.
