What kind of game this is

Guns'n'Glory Heroes mixes tower defense with RPG progression. Instead of placing fixed towers and waiting, you direct the heroes yourself as enemies come in. It suits players who like defense strategy but want something closer to action than a static board.

The game is free to play. Some items are sold as in-app purchases, and you can turn those off in your device settings if you prefer not to buy anything.

Moving heroes through real-time battles

Three heroes make up your party: Arlon, a Knight of Light; Smirl, a dwarven warrior; and Eloa, an elven wizard. You control their movement in real time and change tactics mid-fight, so placement matters as much as picking the right moment to act.

Each hero has combat abilities and magic. Eloa's spells and Smirl's melee attacks cover different roles, so you decide who to push forward and who to keep back.

Orc armies, dragon bosses and traps

The enemies are orcs and dragons, and the castles you defend are under siege from them. Boss fights against large dragons are built around traps, so you have to move your heroes out of danger while still pressing the attack.

The story runs across landscapes that change from lush forests to deadly swamps and freezing snowy mountains, and each setting brings its own layout to fight across.

Upgrading equipment and castle armor

You improve your heroes' gear as you go, which strengthens them for harder battles. The same progression applies to the castles themselves, which you can reinforce with armor to hold out against stronger waves.

Upgrades are part of the RPG side of the game, so the heroes you start with are not the ones you finish with.

Achievements, leaderboards and tablet play

Achievements track challenges you complete, and leaderboards let you compare scores with friends. Both connect through Google Play game services.

The game supports tablets as well as phones, so the same battles run on larger screens.
