A tower defense game played from the outlaw side

Guns'n'Glory is a tower defense style strategy and action game for mobile where you side with the robbers instead of the lawmen. You pick a position in a canyon and wait for settlers, stagecoaches and the gold train to come through. The listing pitches it at players who already know tower defense and want a different angle on it.

The levels are set in new land in Alaska, Nevada and Oregon, and the listing describes the graphics as cartoon style. The game is free to play, with some items available through in-app purchase.

Ambushing travellers and chasing down escapees

Your gang fires from the canyon at the wagons and travellers below, using bullets, lead and flaming arrows. Some victims try to run, and you can set off in pursuit to stop them before they reach the Sheriff and raise the alarm.

The ambush is the core action, so positioning your gang at the right point in the canyon decides how many targets get through.

Recruiting and upgrading an outlaw gang

You build your gang by recruiting cowboys and other fighters, and the listing says there is a large selection of unique units to pick from. Units can be upgraded as you go.

Before you start, you take on the role of Billy the Kid, Jesse James or Butch Cassidy. The character you pick is the outlaw the story puts you in.

Cannons, armed trains and boats, and power-ups

Dollars collected from successful ambushes pay for bigger weapons. You can buy cannons, or a steam train with a Gatling gun to send along the level. Trains and boats can also be armed so they fire on enemies from all sides.

Power-ups are collected during play and add to the battle. The developer notes that various items are sold through in-app purchase, and that these can be turned off in your device settings if you do not want to use them.
