What HeyPhoto is for
HeyPhoto is made to work with a photo printer. The developer presents it as the way to get photos from your phone onto paper, wherever you happen to be. It is aimed at people who own the printer it was built for.
The connection runs over WiFi or Bluetooth, so the phone and printer do not need a cable between them. Everything you print starts from the phone.
Printing albums and AR video photos
Album printing is meant for keeping a running paper record of your life. You can print sets of photos as you go, rather than only single prints.
AR video printing is listed as a way to explore the story behind a photo. It is one of three print types in the app, alongside albums and ID photos.
Making ID photos for travel
The ID photo option prints passport-style photos for travel. The listing describes it as a way to get ID photos whenever a trip calls for one, without going to a photo studio.
It sits in the same app as the album and AR video options, so the same phone-to-printer connection covers all three.
Connecting HeyPhoto to a printer
Connection is the core of the app. The listing names WiFi and Bluetooth as the two ways a phone reaches the printer, which lets you print from a room away or from a spot with no network connection at the printer.
The developer lists a customer service email address, cs2@hprt.com, for questions about the app.
What's new
Improved photo and video selection.
