A text and collage app for photos and stories

Add Text & Story Font - Hitext is an Android app for putting text on photos, making font-based stories, and building collages. Its listing describes it as covering fonts, photo text, story creation and layouts in one place, and aims it at people who want typographic or lettering-led images.

The listing is short and does not break its features down in detail, so the specifics below come from the app's name, its summary and its short description. On Google Play it has a 4.4 average from 24,819 ratings and more than 500,000 installs.

Adding text and fonts to photos

The core use is adding text to a photo. The listing names photo text as one of its main functions, alongside a range of fonts.

Its summary also refers to fonts for art and calligraphy, so the font library is aimed at decorative and handwritten-style lettering as well as plain text. The listing mentions expressive typography as a theme, which points to the same thing: text that is meant to be a visual element.

Making font stories and story visuals

The description says the app can be used to design a font story. The listing does not explain how a font story is built, what format it produces or which social platforms it targets, so those details are not covered here.

The app is described as covering story creation next to text and fonts, so the story work and the text work sit in the same app rather than in separate tools.

Building collages and photo layouts

The app is named a collage maker, and its listing refers to creating a layout. This is the part for combining several photos into one picture, with text added on top or between images.

The summary also calls it a photo editor, so basic photo editing sits alongside the text and collage tools. The listing does not say which editing controls or layout templates are included.
