The app listing, the version table and the download step are laid out by this site’s stylesheet. With stylesheets switched off, or blocked before they arrive, none of that layout exists, so the page is not shown.

What Holy Bible Launcher: KJV+Audio is for

Holy Bible Launcher: KJV+Audio is a home screen replacement built around the Bible. It is aimed at people who want scripture a tap away from the phone's main screen rather than inside a separate reading app. The listing describes it as free.

Because it is a launcher, it changes how the home screen is laid out. The listing says installed apps are moved to other positions on the home screen rather than removed. The Bible sits alongside your usual shortcuts.

Reading and listening to Bible text

The King James Version (KJV) is the default text. The listing also includes 10 other Bible versions, naming Reina-Valera 1909 and Smith-Van Dyke among them. That makes the app usable for readers who work in Spanish or want older translations next to the KJV.

Audio Bible resources are part of the same package, so you can listen as well as read. The listing also mentions daily verses, which suits short devotional reading. Verses and study material can be shared from the app.

Opening the Bible from the home screen

A swipe right from the home screen opens the Bible directly. This is the main way the listing says you reach the text, so it stands in for an app icon.

A home screen widget shows the time, weather and other information. The widget is set up within the launcher's own layout, so it can sit beside the Bible shortcut.

Searching the device and the web

The launcher includes device search, which looks through the phone's contents from the home screen. It also includes custom web search. The listing says results come from Google, Yahoo! or Microsoft Bing, and you choose which of the three to use.

Search is kept on the launcher's home screen, so it does not need a separate app. Together with the Bible access and the widget, it covers most of the home screen's daily uses.
