HSBC UAE is the mobile banking app for customers of HSBC Bank Middle East Limited in the UAE. It brings current accounts, credit cards, loans, term deposits, global accounts and an investing service into one app on a phone.
It suits existing HSBC UAE customers, and people who want to open an account or apply for a credit card with the bank.
Checking balances and sending money
The app shows balances and transaction details for your local and global HSBC accounts, credit cards and loans. Pay and Transfer lets you add new payees and send domestic and international transfers.
Transfers to HSBC international accounts carry no fee. Instant transfers to HSBC accounts in participating countries are listed as fee free for the Global Money Account.
Opening accounts, term deposits and credit cards
Account opening can be completed in the app within minutes, with digital registration, but only in English. Existing customers log on with their current banking details, and anyone not yet registered is directed to hsbc.ae/register.
Term deposits can be opened instantly in AED, USD or GBP, with promotional rates available without visiting a branch or contacting a relationship manager. A credit card application can be started in the app, which the listing says takes a few minutes.
Managing debit and credit cards
The Global Money Account and Debit Card lets you hold, transfer and spend in up to 21 currencies from a single account. Manage Cards adds your cards to Google Pay, lets you control spending, and block or unblock a card.
Instalment plans turn available credit limit into cash, convert card transactions, or move balances from other bank cards onto your HSBC card. The balance is then repaid in monthly instalments.
Investing through Wealth Solutions and getting help
Wealth Solutions gives access to up to 25 markets and 77 exchanges, with equities, ETFs, bonds and funds, plus real-time data and insights. Mobile Chat and Contact Us handles banking questions 24/7.
Branch and Call Centre assistance is available for People of Determination, and the app is listed as compatible with accessible technologies.
