A text-based werewolf story set in Ireland

This is an interactive novel by William Brown, set in the World of Darkness and played entirely through text. There are no graphics or sound effects, so the story and its choices carry everything. The app is rated Teen.

The premise is a hunt. Eight years after a werewolf killed a close friend, you return to Ireland to track it through the glens and fogbound mountains. It suits readers who like dark, text-heavy fiction about monsters and revenge.

Tracking the werewolf and choosing allies

You can kill, study, capture, document or negotiate with the creatures you hunt. Each approach is a different way through the story.

The hunters you meet belong to rival groups: the Society of Leopold, the Arcanum, the Duffy crime family and the biotech company Fada. The listing frames them as people you may not be able to trust, so who you deal with shapes the hunt.

Crafting gear and training a wolfhound

You craft your own traps, gear and weapons to take the hunt to the monsters. The listing lists a shotgun among your tools from the start.

You can also adopt a wolfhound and train it to help you in the hunt. It is one of the few companions in the story that you raise yourself.

Friendships, romance and the Wolf's Head Inn

You play as male, female or nonbinary, and can befriend or romance both humans and supernatural characters of any gender. Your oldest friends are part of the story, and the listing presents them as people you have to decide whether to trust.

You build and maintain your own safehouse at the Wolf's Head Inn in the Wicklow Mountains. It serves as your base between hunts.
