What Hyde App Hider is for

Hyde App Hider is an app for hiding other apps on an Android phone. The developer positions it for people who share a device, or who want their own apps kept away from anyone else who picks up the phone. It is built around a hidden app vault, where chosen apps and media are kept out of normal view.

The listing names messaging apps, dating apps and the Gallery as typical examples. It also mentions social media apps and any other app the user wants out of sight.

Hiding apps from the phone's app list

The core function is hiding individual apps. According to the developer, this takes two clicks per app. Once an app is hidden, it is removed from the normal list of apps on the phone and can only be reached through Hyde.

The listing describes this as making apps invisible, and calls the app a hidden app launcher. Hyde is the route back to the hidden apps.

A hidden vault for photos and videos

Beyond apps, the developer says Hyde can store photos and videos in its vault. The listing presents this as a single private space for apps and media together.

Media kept in the vault is meant to stay out of the regular Gallery view. The listing does not describe how files are moved in or out.

Hiding the Hyde app itself

The developer says the Hyde app can also be hidden, so that anyone looking at the phone does not see that it is installed. This is a second layer on top of hiding other apps.

The listing does not say how a user would reopen Hyde once it is hidden. It only states that the option exists.
