Idle Dot Shooter is a simulation game built around an idle loop. A single turret sits at the bottom of the screen and fires without input, while dots drift in from above. Most of the play is watching the score and cash grow and deciding what to buy next.
The listing describes it as a bullet hell style game with the action handled automatically. Players who want a steady, low-effort progression loop are the audience the listing points to.
Each dot the turret hits pays out cash. That cash is the only currency shown in the listing, and it funds every upgrade in the game.
The turret's stats are the main levers. The listing names fire rate, damage, spawn density, suction strength and the value of each dot as things that can be raised, so the same screen produces more money as those numbers climb.
Cash goes into three upgrade branches: Defence, Drone and Economy. Defence covers the turret's firing stats, Drone adds an extra unit that fights alongside it, and Economy raises the money each dot is worth and boosts suction.
Because each branch feeds the others, the listing describes a loop where a small upgrade speeds up earnings, which pays for the next one.
Alongside the automatic fire, the player can trigger bullet hell abilities by hand when they want a burst of action. They are optional and used on demand, not part of the default loop.
Progress is organised into galaxies. Each new galaxy brings tougher targets, so the upgrades bought earlier have to keep pace as the game moves on.
Scores feed a global leaderboard, which ranks players against each other. The listing frames the goal as beating your own personal best and moving up the ranks.
The leaderboard is the only social element the listing mentions, and it is the reason the game keeps a running score rather than resetting each session.
