What Image Toolbox covers

Image Toolbox is an Android app for editing, batch processing and converting images in one package. It runs from pixel-level retouching through to bulk jobs across many files, and the listing aims it at designers, developers and people who work with large image sets.

Its main parts are batch processing, a filter system, a drawing and markup set, AI background removal, a format converter and file encryption. The listing presents these as one tool rather than separate apps.

Batch editing and filter chains

Batch processing applies edits to hundreds of images at once, so one set of steps can be repeated across a folder instead of done file by file. The listing also describes format conversion as part of the same workflow.

Filters can be stacked into chains, and the library holds more than 310 of them. A chain you build can be saved as a custom filter, shared as a QR code, or imported into the app from another person's filter.

Drawing, markup and pixel effects

The drawing tools include Pen, Spray, Neon, Highlighter, Text, arrows, lines, shapes and a lasso selection. Line styles include dashed, zigzag and stamped.

Warp can move, grow, shrink or swirl part of an image. Privacy Blur and Pixelation Paint hide details, and Image Brush and Filter Brush paint with another image or with a filter. Markup Layers mode places stickers and text as separate layers. Spot Healing uses an AI model that the app downloads separately for generative inpainting.

Removing backgrounds with AI or by hand

Background removal can be done by drawing over the area to cut out, or automatically. The automatic option offers seven models: MlKit, U2NetP, U2Net, RMBG, InSPyReNet, BiRefNet and ISNet.

Each model suits a different kind of image, and the manual drawing method is there for cases the models miss. Both options sit inside the same editor as the other tools.

Encrypting and decrypting image files

The app encrypts and decrypts files with more than 100 algorithms. This is a separate feature from editing: it protects image files rather than changing how they look.

Encryption works alongside the editing and conversion tools, so a file can be processed and then locked, or unlocked and then edited again.
